    Supreme Court Notice To Nirbhaya Case Defence Lawyers For Their Arrogant Comments On Women

    "India's Daughter", the documentary of innocent girl named Nirbhaya, who was raped and killed by some cruel beings, which spread a whole view of rape case in a spectacular manner was directed by BBC journalist.

    Though the video was banned in India by India'm government, the journalist still released the video just before Women's day recently. The video took an immediate response across the internet revealing the facts that were actually happened the day of brutality.

    The video also revealed the very thoughts of accused people and the views of defence lawyers M. L. Sharma and A. P. Singh which were very arrogant and senseless and also threatened to Indian women.

    The statements in the video by lawyer M. L. Sharma which says "a woman means... I immediately put sex in his eyes" and "women has no place in Indian society" were concluded as derogatory by the plea of Supreme Court Women Lawyers.

    "The comments made in the documentary (by the two advocates) are inhumane, scandalous, unjustifiable, biased, outrageous and ill-minded and are a direct affront to and in violation of dignity of women, especially the women practicing in the Supreme Court. These comments have caused a sense of insecurity, indignation and fear among the female lawyers practicing in the Supreme Court," the plea said.

    The lawyers has submitted the statements of the lawyers to SC including the public talks and opinions of people related to the comments of lawyers which are actually outraged.

    The association added "The comments which stated the time limit which lawyers has suggested the women to maintain to roam outside is such a defaming and the comments like they can't roam with just a friend, they can't make their own choices, they can't live their own life on their own way, women are particular to certain limits and they have to maintain their individuality, does need some serious consideration which is not only defaming the women but also a threat to female lawyers who are practicing in SC"

    They also added the ban of the lawyer's entry in apex court premises in view of their controversial comments.

    SC has sent a notice to the lawyers stating that the response should be send within 2 weeks and "an apology to the public regarding their comments should also included in the response" the petition said and "the apology should be added in documentary it added"
