Irumudi Festival – Melmaruvathu – Christmas, New Year, Thaipoosam, Pongal – Festival Special Trains
The following festival special trains will be run to clear the extra rush of traffic during the Irumudi festival at Melmaruvathur, Christmas, New Year, Thaipoosam and Pongal festivals.
Tri-Weeky Special Trains
Train No.06626 train will leave Coimbatore at 22.50 hrs. on 11th, 14th, 16th, 18th, 21st, 23rd, 25th, 28th, 30th December 2014, 01st, 4th, 6th, 8th, 11th, 13th, 15th, 18th, 20th, 22nd, 25th, 27th, 29th January 2015, 01st & 03rdFebruary 2015 and reach Chengalpattu at 08.00 hrs. the next day.
Chengalpattu – Coimbatore special train
Train No.06625 train will leave Chengalpattu at 17.00 hrs. on 12th, 15th, 17th, 19th, 22nd, 24th, 26th, 29th, 31st December 2014, 02nd, 05th, 07th, 09th, 12th, 14th, 16th, 19th, 21st, 23rd, 26th, 28th, 30th January 2015, 02nd & 04thFebruary 2015 and reach Coimbatore at 02.30 hrs. the next day.
The composition of the trains will be 10 Sleeper Class, 6 general second class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches.
The trains will stop at Somanur, Tiruppur, Erode, Karur, Tiruchchirappalli, Vriddhachalam, Villupuram and Melmaruvathur.
Bi-weekly special trains
Rameswaram – Chengalpattu (via Karaikkudi, Tiruchchirappali, Vriddhachalam)Rameswaram – Chengalpattu special train
Train No.06752 train will leave Rameswaram at 14.30 hrs. on 15th, 17th, 22nd, 24th, 29th, 31stDecember 2014, 05th, 07th, 12th & 14thJanuary 2015 and reach Chengalpattu at 03.00 hrs. the next day.
Chengalpattu – Rameswaram special train
Train No.06751 train will leave Chengalpattu at 14.00 hrs. on 16th, 18th, 23rd, 25th, 30th December 2014, 01st, 06th, 08th, 13th & 15th January 2015 and reach Rameswaram at 02.00 hrs. the next day.
The composition of the trains will be 10 Sleeper Class, 6 general second class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches.
The trains will stop at Ramanathapuram, Paramakkudi, Manamadurai, Sivaganga, Devakottai Road, Karaikkudi, Pudukkottai, Tiruchchirappalli, Vriddhachalam, Villupuram and Melmaruvathur.

Train No.06753 Chengalpattu – Rameswaram special train will leave Chengalpattu at 14.00 hrs. on 20th, 27th December 2014, 03rd, 10th & 17thJanuary 2015 and reach Rameswaram at 02.00 hrs. the next day.
The composition of the trains will be 10 Sleeper Class, 6 general second class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches.
The trains will stop at Ramanathapuram, Paramakkudi, Manamadurai, Madurai, Dindigul, Tiruchchirappalli, Vriddhachalam, Villupuram and Melmaruvathur.
