Delhi election results has gifted a common man with the post of Chief Minister. Mr.Arvind Kejriwal has been elected with unanimous power. Out of the 70 seats, 67 seats are won by AAP resulting in formation of government without seeking support of other parties.
Exit polls has stated that AAP will win with a majority of 53 seats and form the government. But voters of Delhi has rewarded with a majority of 67 seats in which it is a huge margin than the exit polls. This was possible by the unprecedented work by Kejriwal and by AAP volunteers. They have been campaigning vigorously form 49 days of election announcement in Delhi. They came out and went into all gullies of Delhi with a different campaigning mode. They made rallies, sang songs, executed some dramas on AAP party and got closer with the people of Delhi.
So, we salute the Aam Admi Party and Arvind Kejriwal and let us know some thing about this new Delhi CM. Arvind Kejriwal was born on 16.08.1968 in Bhivani district in Haryana. Her parents were Govindram and Geetha Devi. He studied Mechanical Engineering from Kahragpur I.I.T and worked with TATA Steel for 3 years. After that, he resigned the job and wrote UPPSC exam and selected for I.R.S (Indian Revenue Services). He worked in revenue department and won many awards and rewards for his work. He has been selected for prestigious Raman Megasessey award for his social work. He was awarded with Rs. 30 Lakhs from this award and he has formed a charity with this cash award. After Anna Hazare announced Jan Lokpal bill and has sat in fasting, Kejriwal has supported him a lot and he resigned the job in revenue services and worked as volunteer and activist along with Anna Hazare. He made so many protests for the anticipation of Jan Lokpal Bill in Parliament.
He has also fought against corruption and congress party which was in rulethrown a challange to him said that "come to politics and compete with them". He agreed to this comment and formed the "Aam Admi Party". He contested in 2013 Delhi assembly elections and has won 28 seats. This number didn't suffice for forming the government and he took support from congress party and formed the government. At the time of rule, he took so many steps to develop Delhi. He differed with Congress party in the case of electricity bills and he has reduced the current bills to half price. He has sanctioned 700 litres of drinking water to every family and supplied to them. After the failure of Jan Lokpal Bill in Parliament, he resigned to the chief minister post.
He contested in the 2014 elections in Varnasi against the BJP prime minister candiadate Mr.Narendra Modi and has lost in that election. After the announcement of Delhi elections in January, he went on campaigning with his fellow leaders and volunteers of AAP. He mainly focused on Delhi development and the failure of BJP's work in these 9 months of power. He made announcements in Television's and FM Radio's and went to each and every house in Delhi. He invited the Chief Minister candidate of BJP, Kiran Bedi to talk him face to face in a national television channel about the agenda of BJP. Contrast to this BJP did not accepted the challenge made by Kejriwal. He has touched the rural and also urban areas at the same time.
He promised the safety of women in Delhi. He has announced free WiFi access throughout Delhi, if AAP comes into power. Mainly the Muslim community, Punjabi community, JAT community votes has played a crucial part in the success of AAP's Victory.
Coming to his family, he has been married to Sunitha who is a colleague in revenue office. He loved sunitha at the time of training and married her. "One day I went to her room and knocked the door, and when she opened the door in academy and said 'I Love You Sunitha and she accepted the proposal'. He has two children Harshitha and Pulkith. Her daughter is studying in I.I.T Delhi. He had a sister and a brother.
In Twitter he has changed his status as "Political revolution in India has begun. Bharat jaldi badlega. Arvind Kejriwal". He has posted the photos of celebration in his twitter and facebook page. Arvind Kejriwal's twitter handle has got lot of appreciation's and wishes from all over India. As well as Arvind Kejriwal's Facebook page also flooded with wishes.
