IRCTC has now limited the booking of tickets per user during the peak times that is from 08.00 to 12.00. The site will forcefully log out the session after the ticket is booked and will not allow for next booking.
The rule will not allow the touts who were earlier cornering around 4000 tickets daily, exploiting the single-user facility and the one-minute open window of online booking system of railways.
Earlier the authority used to issue more than one ticket with single session where an user can book tickets using single login session without the session being expired unless or until time expiration.
This rule has brought up to sweep out the illegal activities that has been taking under few agents and some other unknown official agents.
The statement also state that the rule is applied for even IRCTC agents also so that no reason behind the touts of e-ticketing left un-looked.
However the railways statement included that this rule is not applicable for onward or return journeys and for defense persons booking under warrant.
